A Trip to Paradise

My childhood had always been filled with crazy adventures and tours all because my family loved to travel. We went to lots of places like Surigao and Bukidnon in Mindanao, Cebu and Bohol in Visayas, and Manila and Tagaytay in Luzon and a lot more. I can say that I have traveled all around the Philippines. Out of all the places I've been to my personal favorite would be our trip to Boracay, Aklan last April 2018

This is my first trip to one of the most popular vacation destinations here in the Philippines. Every year thousands of foreigners visit Boracay to enjoy its white sand beaches, coral reefs, and of course

the night life that starts once the sun comes down. Believe me when I say that most of the people here are foreigners. In my two-day vacation in Boracay I have noticed that foreigners particularly Korean and Chinese people admire this place a little more. I even felt like I was in a different country because of the amount of foreigners walking around its streets and beaches. Another thing that I have also observed are the prices. There’s only one thing I can say, INFLATION.

Just like any other tourists we started our tour of the beautiful island with an island hopping. It would take quite a lot of patience especially if the boat that you are
in is quite loud as the engine starts. Thank goodness it didn’t really take too long to get to the first destination and I only have one word for to describe this, BREATHTAKING. The water was so clear and the white sand was so fine. It wasn’t anything like the beaches in my city. I’m not trying to compare the two but I’ve got to admit that I really do understand why people, especially foreigners just can’t get enough of this majestic paradise.

I normally prefer swimming pools and water falls to beaches.
The reason would be because of the sand that just gets everywhere and the salty water that gives you an uncomfortable and sticky feeling. However, it was different this time since the water was so clean and clear the uncomfortable feeling never came. I have to applaud the government for that. All those months of closing the island must’ve cost a lot of money but in the end it all paid off. I wish I could tell stories about water sports adventure at Boracay but unfortunately I wasn’t able to do any. If someday I can go back, I would definitely try the paragliding sport.

If you would ask what my most favorite part of this trip is most people would probably say that that their favorite was the clear blue waters or the stunning beaches. However, for me my favorite was the sunset. We witness how the sun sets everyday but
there was something different here. Maybe it’s because of the silence and calm waters or the vibe that this place was giving off entirely. During the day nothing is really going on that much but when the sky gets the dark and the sparkling celestial bodies that inhabit our solar system are finally shown the whole island dances. The sunset is like the interval where everything is both calm and strident. The view is just fantastic; the sunset is definitely what everyone looks forward to. It makes you really wonder why a natural phenomenon that happens every day is the most breathtaking.
